What’s the difference between special flange and ordinary flange?
The clamp type butterfly valve flange is also called butterfly flange or clamp special flange. It is a special flange for clamp type butterfly valve in pipeline installation, matching with clamp type butterfly valve. The main difference between the special flange and the ordinary flange of the clip on butterfly valve is the inner diameter of the flange. The inner diameter of the special flange is just in line with the nominal diameter of the butterfly valve. The groove can insert the connecting steel pipe into it, ensuring the sealing effect of the clip on butterfly valve. If the ordinary flange is used, the sealing effect of the butterfly valve can not be guaranteed. In addition, the outer diameter, thickness, center distance and bolt hole of the special flange for clip on butterfly valve are the same, and the bolts used are double headed bolts. The use of bolts is changed according to different temperatures.
